Cardiff Polyphonic Choir, one of Wales’s leading amateur choirs, is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director to succeed David Young, who will be stepping down in June after seven highly successful years.

The choir, a mixed voice, auditioned group of around 45 singers, enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its concerts, working regularly with professional orchestras and soloists, and performing sacred and secular music from Baroque to the present day.

Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at Howells School in Llandaff, Cardiff.

The longest running independent youth orchestra in Sheffield is looking to appoint a talented and motivational Musical Director to lead and inspire us, to start in September 2022.  

The orchestra members are aged 11–19, grade 5+, and from all walks of life in Sheffield and surrounding areas.  We meet in the centre of Sheffield on Saturdays 10:00–12:30 during term time, give two formal concerts a year alongside other ad-hoc performances across the region.  The orchestra also organises an annual residential weekend away in the Peak District National Park.

We will be recruiting for all sections of the orchestra, so a Musical Director with the drive and links to recruit would be beneficial.

We have a sociable and friendly atmosphere, supported by voluntary council members and parents who look forward to welcoming you into our all inclusive, orchestra family.

Halifax Concert Band is looking to appoint a Conductor/Musical Director to start as soon as possible (negotiable depending upon the availability of the successful candidate).

Established in 1979, we are a community concert band based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, with approximately thirty members ranging from 18years of age to retirement, from all walks of life. Paisley Philharmonic Choir is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director from August 2022.

We are an SATB choir of around 45 members at present, meet on Tuesday evenings 7.30pm – 9.30pm from mid August to May and are looking for someone with suitable skill and experience in leading a choir to fill the post.

The choir’s extensive repertoire encompasses a wide range of choral works, from Oratorios and Masses to light entertainment and modern pieces.

The pandemic has reduced our member numbers and slightly limited our ability to perform “big” works. We are looking for someone who can help us boost membership and return us to pre-pandemic programmes.

Churchdown Choral Society is looking for a talented and motivational Musical Director to lead and inspire us from September 2022.

We are a non-audition and friendly SATB choir, currently around 40 singers, of varied ages and mixed abilities.  We meet on Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm during term time at Parton Manor Junior school in Churchdown, Gloucestershire.

The Principal Conductor is responsible for the overall artistic vision of the orchestra and the preparation and performance of all the orchestra’s concerts  in conjunction with the orchestra’s committee. In collaboration with the orchestra’s leader, she or he will also oversee the orchestra’s musical and technical development, seeking to maintain and enhance a high standard of performance

Lambeth Wind Orchestra is seeking a new Conductor / Music Director, starting September 2022.

The Choir with No Name (CWNN) runs quirky pop music choirs for people affected by homelessness in London, Birmingham, Brighton, Cardiff and Liverpool. Our mission is to empower as many homeless and marginalised people as possible to showcase their talents, build personal resilience and positive, joyful singing communities. We are very excited to launch our first CWNN Community Choir in Coventry - This choir will also welcome members from the wider community in addition to those who have experience of homelessness. We are now seeking a warm and enthusiastic Choir Director to bring our new Coventry Choir to life.
