The award-winning Mackintosh Choir in Glasgow are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic Musical Director.
We are a non-auditioned mixed voice Community Choir which has grown significantly in ability and reputation since its foundation in 2011.  Our choir has around 55  members of mixed ability, although numbers have fallen during Covid. We have a love of music and singing and enjoy singing a range of music, from classical to contemporary works, and improving our abilities in the process.
We perform two major concerts a year, usually in June and December, and compete in the Glasgow Music Festival. We rehearse weekly on a Wednesday night, from September to June, in St John’s Renfield Church. We also have two rehearsals per term on a Saturday morning and an additional rehearsal on the Saturday morning before each concert.
The successful applicant will be engaged on a self-employed basis, being responsible for their own Tax and NI contributions.
The application deadline is March 18th 2022  Short listed applicants will be invited for interview and will be required to undertake a trial rehearsal with the full choir.
