All Sing! Harrow Road Community Choir is a singing group drawing mainly on people living in Kensal Rise, Kilburn, Maida Vale and Paddington. The Choir is open to everyone regardless of age, background or musical experience and we sing a variety of music from all genres, from many different cultures, and in languages from across the world. Music is learned by rote, in the interest of maximum inclusiveness and in support of the principle that anyone can sing. The choir rehearses weekly during term-time and is based at St. John’s Church, Kensal Green, 2 Kilburn Lane, London W10 4AA. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, currently from 6.30 – 8.30 pm. The choir runs on a three-term academic year and each term the members learn a new repertoire. A workshop for the community and for interested members is held at the end of the spring term and a concert is held at the end of the summer term and the autumn term. The choir has been in existence since 2009. Following a dip in members due to the pandemic, the number of members has been slowly increasing and this remains the focus of the trustees. The current membership is 30. The choir has performed at venues including Wigmore Hall, The Roundhouse and Paddington Central, as well as at a local venues such as Maida Hill Market Place, Paddington Library, City of Westminster College and a number of local churches and community settings. The choir is led by a musical director and is supported by an accompanist. The choir is managed by a committee and is registered as a charity.
