Conductor/Music Director

Congleton Choral Society invites applications for the post of Music Director, from September 2021 following our Music Director’s re-location to Aberdeen. Christopher Cromar was our music Director for 10 years, achieving a high standard of performance and inspiring a high level of commitment from singers. We are a well-established, fully-auditioned SATB choir, with around 80 singers. We have not met in person since March 2020 but have continued with online activities and short rehearsals via Zoom. We intend to meet as normal from September 2021.

Musical Director required for Catterick Garrison Military WAGS Choir. A rewarding role to teach and lead our military wives, associates, grilfriends and servicewomen to sing a catalogue of songs including opportunities to look at new material. this is a paid role, requiring commitment to 1 rehearsal a week and performances throughout the year. 

We are searching for three experienced and capable Directors for our Regional Choirs in Midlothian, Renfrewshire and Stirling.

NYCOS has established a network of fifteen Regional Choirs across Scotland from the Isle of Lewis to Dumfries. In recent years, these choirs have performed at major venues throughout Scotland including Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Dundee’s Caird Hall and Usher Hall, Edinburgh. They have sung at events including BBC Children in Need, World War One Remembered and Christmas Celebration broadcasts.

Dunbar Choral is a small, friendly SATB Choral Society in East Lothian with a long history.  We do not hold auditions and have a mix of members with differing levels of musical ability and experience.

In recent years the choir has, annually, performed a charity concert of lighter music, a Christmas concert and a larger scale Classical work with guest soloists and orchestral players.

We have been rehearsing on Tuesday evening 7.15 - 9.15 pm in termtime through the generosity of a local school.

About the Choir

The Choir has been established since May 2020. We are a friendly group of 20 singers who enjoy singing for a range of causes such as local care homes and charities. Our Music Director of 10 years has sadly moved away from the area and we are currently seeking for a new Musical Director to join our Making Music family!

Saffron Walden Choral Society is recruiting a new Musical Director to take up the role from April 2022.

The Festival Chorus, based in South London, wishes to appoint a new Musical Director.
