We are recruiting – Lyrical SoNGbirds - MUSICAL DIRECTOR

 

Members of this lively 24 strong Choir for Upper Voices, most of whom currently are over 60, are drawn from around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.  We normally sing in 3 or 4 parts.  We meet to rehearse term-time Tuesday 10 am to 12 noon at Kingswood Methodist Church, Wollaton, Nottingham. Our term dates are based around those of Nottinghamshire schools.

 

Dartford Choral Society - Music Director from January 2025

Dartford Choral Society is a non-auditioned SATB choir of around 25 people (approximately 8 sopranos, 9 altos, 3 tenors and 5 basses) of mixed age and musical experience/ability, performing a varied repertoire of sacred and secular choral music.

The Society’s year runs from September to June, with rehearsals on Monday evenings and four concerts per year. We are seeking a music director/accompanist to take up the position in January 2025, from our current MD, who is retiring after 40 years’ service.

NCS Musical Director - New Opportunity

NCS is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2024. Over those years, there have been three inspirational Musical Directors who have developed the choir in their own way, making NCS a significant and respected part of the cultural scene in the North East.

Mark Anyan, our Musical Director  since 2007, is to step down from that role after our February 22nd 2025 concert.
We now invite submissions from experienced choral directors interested in applying for the role of NCS Musical Director, with ambition and the necessary qualities to continue that great work and to grow the choir with an effective recruitment programme.

Musical Director

Just Sing, Bunbury is a mixed ability Community choir looking for a new MD to start by the end of the year. Rehearsals are term-time, Monday evenings in Bunbury School, near Tarporley, Cheshire. The choir has approx 35 singers, the repertoire is mixed, and the role is paid.

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Applications are invited for the post of Musical Director for Reigate & Redhill Choral Society (RRCS), starting in January 2025. Established in 1941, we are an ambitious choir open to all ages without formal audition, currently comprising around 90 members across all voice-parts. RRCS has an impressive history of programming concerts incorporating a diverse range of works, from the most popular classics to a selection of contemporary music by British composers, often performed with professional soloists and orchestra.

Musical Director/Conductor

Harlow Symphony is a local amateur orchestra of about 30 regular players, who rehearse and give three concerts a year at venues in Harlow and Epping.

Rehearsals take place on around nine consecutive Tuesday evenings each term (Spring, Summer and Autumn), followed by a rehearsal and performance on a Sunday.  Our forthcoming Autumn term is due to start on September 10th, with a concert on November 17th.

We are currently looking for somebody to take on a long-term role as Musical Director.

Associate Conductor

Dunbartonshire Concert Band (DCB) is a vibrant, popular and sociable community wind ensemble based in Bearsden just north of Glasgow. The band was formed in 1973 and performs throughout Central Scotland, with occasional overseas tours. DCB has a regular calendar of concerts which includes indoor and outdoor events, charity concerts and festivals, with a varied repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary to film and popular music.

Guest Conductor

We are a large symphony orchestra based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, performing about 6 concerts per year in and around Cheltenham.

Our players have a wide range of ages and experience but all are dedicated to perfoming orchestral works to a very high standard.

Eye Bach Choir (EBC) is looking to appoint a new Musical Director to succeed Leslie Olive who has announced his intention to step back from the Choir at Christmas after 18 successful years.
