Accompanist

Barnt Green Choral Society, has about 60 members and was established in 1951.  We rehearse on Monday evenings, from 19.45 to 21.45, at Barnt Green Parish Centre and perform three main concerts a year, at least one with instrumentalists and professional soloists.    
We have a wide repertoire from Baroque and Renaissance music to oratorio, from opera choruses to folksongs and popular music from various times.  Our choir is not auditioned and has a good reputation in the area.

We are looking for an accompanist for our rehearsals (Tuesdays 7.30-9.30) and potentially our concerts (depending on repertoire). While we welcome applications from those at all stages in their careers, we are seeking an accompanist with the ability and skills needed to provide professional standards of performance in a choral setting to a large amateur choral society performing to high standard across a variety of repertoire. We are a non-auditioned choir of one hundred and twenty voices in South London. We rehearse between Clapham and Wandsworth Commons (SW11) and are one of the most experienced and accomplished choirs in the area. We perform three concerts a year (St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road SW12 8RQ), employing professional orchestras and soloists. The choir is open to all regardless of ability or experience.

Côr Meibion Llangollen Male Voice Choir.

We are a small male voice choir of around 20 voices in the beautiful town of Llangollen situated on the River Dee. Llangollen, the home of the world renowned International Music Eisteddfod which was born from the rich musical heritage so prominent in the area.

We perform regularly at many local establishments, in particular at The Hand Hotel, in Llangollen, where we also hold our weekly rehearsals every Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.

NYCOS is dedicated to encouraging singing for young people aged 0–25, providing them with new and exceptional singing opportunities. NYCOS was established in 1996 to deliver a national infrastructure for young people, teachers and choir directors to support and develop choral singing in Scotland.

The Edinburgh Bach Choir, Musical Director Stephen Doughty, has a vacancy for a rehearsal piano accompanist. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at St Cuthbert's Parish Church, Lothian Road, Edinburgh from 7.15pm to 9.30pm. We would welcome applications especially from experienced accompanists. Teddington Chamber Choir is seeking an accompanist and assistant musical director from January 2019. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in Teddington, south-west London, from 8:15 - 10:15pm in term time (usually 10 rehearsals a term). We sing a wide range of chamber music either a capella or accompanied by piano, organ or orchestra. We rehearse at St Mark's Church, Teddington and most of our concerts are held there. We tend to put on 2 concerts a year and an evensong service every two years in the spring term. 

Leeds Festival Chorus is seeking to appoint an experienced accompanist to take up the position in January 2019.

The successful applicant will be expected to accompany rehearsals in North West Leeds on Wednesday evenings and occasional Saturday mornings, accompany auditions (triennial for the whole chorus and when required for new members) and to be available for rehearsals with soloists on concert days. The chorus usually performs in 3 or 4 concerts per year.

The Wycombe Orpheus Male Voice Choir requires a regular Accompanist for its Wednesday evening rehearsals in High Wycombe and to support the Choir’s busy Concert programme.

The post requires an accomplished and committed pianist and there is scope for advancement as we renew our musical team.

Guilsfield Singers are a friendly, mixed choir of some 40 – 50 people who meets Thursday evenings at the Old School in Guilsfield, a large village between Welshpool and Oswestry. Our previous accompanist, Paul Wardell, is now the choir’s Musical Director, hence the vacancy. The choir usually gives 4 – 6 performances a year, in Welshpool, Guilsfield, and the surrounding area.
