Trinity Laban is a world-leading conservatoire that redefines excellence. They create pioneers, focusing on the artistic freedom and transformation of our students.

A community of global collaborators, they lead the arts across genres and beyond convention through innovative research, experimentation, and outreach. Against a backdrop of stunning architecture in the creative heart of South East London, Trinity Laban is where change happens.

Over 1000 undergraduate and postgraduate students train at their London sites, which include the Old Royal Naval College site in Greenwich – a World Heritage Site – and Laban Building, the Stirling Prize winning building designed by Herzog & de Meuron. With a focus on supporting the lifelong career development of students and professional performing artists, Trinity Laban boasts unique industry links, a vibrant programme of performances and festivals, and ground-breaking education, community and social inclusion work.

They have extended the historical boundaries of conservatoire study in Music by introducing the first departments of jazz and of early music and establishing the first junior conservatoire as a pathway for talented young musicians of school age. They pioneered higher education study of dance in the UK, successively introducing the first Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes in the discipline, and advancing the field of Dance Science via significant research and training. Many talented artists from across the globe seek to train with them each year, and one third of their students come from outside of the UK, with 60 countries represented in their student body.
