Pitlochry Choral (Pitlochry & District Choral Society) is an amateur choir of 50+ members based in Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire, now seeking a new Music Director to start in September 2018, to replace the current MD who is relocating. 

 

As a Registered Charity (SC0 40555) we aim to bring music appreciation and enjoyment to our members and to the Community. We aim to reach out to include the old, young and disadvantaged, and we also support other hard-pressed charitable causes.

 

Musical Director

Hallam Choral Society, Sheffield is seeking a Musical Director to succeed Ellie Slorach, starting on 3rd September 2018. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated MD to encourage and challenge the choir in a positive, supportive and enjoyable way. We are looking for someone with the confidence to inspire, motivate and interact with the choir members and with the musical ability to continue to develop our singing and sight-reading skills.

AMERSHAM & CHESHAM BOIS CHORAL SOCIETY MUSIC DIRECTOR

Amchor (The Amersham & Chesham Bois Choral Society) needs a Musical Director to replace Mark Austin who is leaving after four successful years.

Amchor is a friendly local choral society with about 80 members.  We rehearse in Amersham, in Buckinghamshire, on Monday evenings (8-9.45pm). We generally perform two major concerts each year, with an orchestra and external soloists, in May and November, plus two smaller, informal concerts in February and December.

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Brent Singers offers an exciting opportunity for a musician with good professional and interpersonal skills to direct a well established mixed choir numbering around 70 singers, based in the lively community of South Brent near Totnes, from September 2018. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7.30 - 9.30 and performs at least three classical concerts a year. Our Spring concert is traditionally in Buckfast Abbey, usually with an orchestra and professional soloists.

New Director needed for Hebden Bridge choir

We are a long-established choir of 30-35, SATB, based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. We sing a varied, exciting a cappella repertoire of mostly classical music from the Renaissance to the 20th and 21st centuries.

The Felloiwship Singers of Shirley has been in existence for over 60 years.  It currently has around 40 members and is based in Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands. Choir members have a mixture of musical ability but are used to singing in four-part harmony.  The choir sings a wide variety of music including classical, pop, folk and songs from musicals, and enjoys the support of a skilled piano accompanist.

Artistic Director

The Ulster Youth Choir wishes to appoint an Artistic Director to lead the artistic planning and activity of the organisation through the next three years. Ulster Youth Choir (UYC) is Northern Ireland’s National Youth Choir and provides young singers aged 11-24 with the unique opportunity to train with leading vocal and choral practitioners from throughout the UK and Ireland through a series of school workshops, residential music courses, concerts and master classes.
