Description of vacancy:
Amchor (The Amersham & Chesham Bois Choral Society) needs a Musical Director to replace Mark Austin who is leaving after four successful years.
Amchor is a friendly local choral society with about 80 members. We rehearse in Amersham, in Buckinghamshire, on Monday evenings (8-9.45pm). We generally perform two major concerts each year, with an orchestra and external soloists, in May and November, plus two smaller, informal concerts in February and December.
Recent performances have included Vaughan Williams A Sea Symphony, Vivaldi Magnificat and Gloria, Britten War Requiem, Elgar Dream of Gerontius, Dvorak Stabat Mater, Mendelssohn Elijah and Brahms German Requiem. Further details are on our website: www.amchor.com.
