Big Lottery Fund – Reaching Communities

 

Funding for ideas that make positive changes in communities e.g. lasting and sustainable changes to places and spaces, stronger and happier relationships between communities and action to focus on the root causes of social problems.

Voluntary or community groups can apply but need to have three unrelated members on the management committee. Grants must fund activity where the people who will benefit have influenced and/or be involved in its development, planning and delivery.

We match successful applicants with friendly professional support – ongoing mentoring, strategic advice, governance support or other assistance. And because we are committed to helping all organisations learn, we give feedback to unsuccessful candidates and offer access to our regular, high quality training and networking events.

Breckland - Large Match Funding Grants

The Large Match Funding scheme forms part of Breckland Council's Community Funding Reserve, which is a group of funding streams that have been designed to empower groups and individuals within the district to deliver projects at a local level that align with the Council's objectives. It is an 'enabling fund' that aims to encourage 'localism' in addressing identified community need.

The Large Match Funding scheme offers grants to cover up to 30% of the total project costs

Esmee Fairbairn Foundation - Main Grants

The Foundation aims to improve the quality of life throughout the UK and takes pride in supporting work that might otherwise be considered difficult to fund.

The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation has launched a new funding strategy , which provides much more definition about what the Foundation will fund and details of its plans to introduce a single funding platform and develop an impact and effectiveness framework.

Ambition for Excellence

Funding to support organisations and partnerships, including private sector arts companies, community and charitable arts organisations, museums with production, commissioning or creative projects that have potential for significant impact on the development of talent and leadership, and the growth of an ambitious international-facing arts infrastructure in England, especially outside London.

Stratford Town Trust

The Stratford Town Trust's mission is to support and enhance the quality of life of the people of Stratford-upon-Avon. To that end, its grants programme has given out £1 million a year since 2001 to a range of local good causes, community projects and things that make Stratford a better place to live, work and study.

KCC Combined Members Grant Scheme

 

The Combined Members Grant Scheme provides support to small-scale, local community projects that meet Kent County Council's overall objectives. These grants can support a lot of different activities, including: • Marketing and training costs. • Community safety schemes. • Sports projects. • Larger refurbishment projects in community halls
