Community cohesion

West Berkshire - Community Plus Fund

The Community Plus Fund, formerly known as the Housing Plus Fund, is a partnership between West Berkshire Council, Sovereign Housing, A2 Housing Group, Catalyst Housing Group and Testaway Housing. West Berkshire Council administers the scheme on behalf of its partners.

The Fund aims to provide small but positive changes to help enhance the lives of local people living in housing association areas.

The Fund offers two levels of grant assistance:
• Small grants of up to £500.
• Large grants of up to £4,000.

Warwickshire Recycling Scheme Fund

The Warwickshire Recycling Scheme grants are made possible through an initiative set up between Warwickshire Voluntary Community Action (WCAVA) and The Heart of England Community Foundation, where unwanted goods are recycled at domestic waste sites and sold on to members of the public. The revenue this brings in is then distributed back into the community via this grants programme.

Funding is available for projects that will benefit neighbourhoods and/or whole communities within Warwickshire.

Tyne & Wear and Northumberland Community Foundation Grants

The Community Foundation Serving Tyne and Wear and Northumberland manages a variety of different funds. Funding is intended to support local groups who 'deliver valuable opportunities, support and help to the people in their communities' in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland.

The Community Foundation is particularly keen to support people who experience discrimination or disadvantage for whatever reason.

Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust

The Charity's origins go directly back to Bishop Vesey, a native of Sutton Coldfield who persuaded Henry VIII to grant a Charter in 1528 establishing a Warden and Society (Corporation) to govern the town. In 1886, the town became a Borough and Sutton Coldfield Charities was set up, taking over the various Corporation Charities within one body. This operated alongside the Council.

Stratford Town Trust

The Stratford Town Trust's mission is to support and enhance the quality of life of the people of Stratford-upon-Avon. To that end, its grants programme has given out £1 million a year since 2001 to a range of local good causes, community projects and things that make Stratford a better place to live, work and study.

Spelthorne Borough Council Grants

Spelthorne Borough Council wishes to assist the many organisations working within the Spelthorne area to meet the needs of the community.
Grants are available to local community organisations and individuals to fund sports, arts and leisure activities, as well as general charitable activities.

The Council has streamlined the application and allocation system for grants; all applications will now be considered by a panel administering a single budget comprising what was formerly the annual revenue grants, sports, arts and leisure grants.

South Somerset - Community Grants

South Somerset District Council provides its Community Grants scheme as part of its support to local voluntary and community groups and organisations and other not-for-profit organisations working for the benefit of South Somerset.
This funding is aimed at local not-for-profit projects that will improve the local quality of life in the District.

Grants of up to 50% of the project costs with a maximum of £12,500 per project are available.
Larger awards of over £12,500 may be available for particular projects or to groups providing services across South Somerset
