Violin and Viola Players

The Bristol Chamber Orchestra is looking for viola players, violinists too, to join a very friendly group, giving 4 concerts per year in the Bristol area. We rehearse at the Bristol Grammar School on Wednesday evenings during term time from 7.30 to 9.30 pm with our new conductor Sebastian See-Schierenberg. We perform mainly string chamber works but our November concert is played with wind colleagues in a full symphonic concert. There are no auditions and you would be most welcome to come to a rehearsal to 'try us out' before deciding. Please visit our website for more information.

B Flat Clarinets

The East Anglian Single Reed Choir, an ensemble of clarinets and saxophones, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary next year. We are looking for more B flat clarinet players to join us as we move forward. Players should be at least grade 6 with good sight reading skills.

Percussionist

We urgently need a reading percussionist and tuned percussion player to join our otherwise flourishing Concert Band.

Orchestra Leader

Welwyn Garden City Orchestra seeks a new Leader to start in September 2024.
 

We are looking for a violinist with good orchestral experience and a genuine enthusiasm to work with, support and inspire amateur musicians to achieve the best results possible.

This role may well suit someone with an orchestral background but wishing to do more work closer to home, and/or with a teaching practice in the area.

We are looking for Violists Grade Four and above for our friendly orchestra. We rehearse Saturday mornings 10.30-12.30 at St James' Church, Martin Way, Morden SM4 4AR

Orchestra vacancies: 1st Trumpet, French Horn, Strings

The City Showtunes Orchestra is an amateur, mixed-ability orchestra based in the City of London. Rehearsing on Monday evenings in St Mary Aldermary Church each term, we draw our light-hearted repertoire from musicals, films and popular classics. We give two concerts a year, usually at Christmas time and in late Spring, where we raise money for charities close to orchestra members' hearts.  Our Autumn 2024 term will start in September and will run until early December.

Leader, first violin

Finchley Symphony Orchestra, an accomplished and friendly amateur orchestra, seeks a Leader to succeed George Mattar who is stepping down after many years. We give 5 concerts a year usually in the comfortable, recently refurbished Trinity Church where we also rehearse on Thursdays from 7:30 to 10:00 during term time.

Double Bass Leader

Nottingham Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is one of the leading amateur symphony orchestras in the UK, looking for a leader for our Double Bass section. We typically perform between 3 to 4 concerts per year in various concert venues and churches in and around Nottingham, working with a wide range of soloists and regularly collaborating with local choirs. We rehearse every Monday evening during term time, 19:30-21:30, at the Becket School in Nottingham.
