Open meeting for leisure-time instrumental ensemble conductors (online event)

Making Music has been approached to host a meeting for instrumental ensemble conductors, to facilitate a discussion on development, training and mentoring needs and opportunities.

There are training organisations and networks for vocal group leaders, but none for conductors of leisure-time instrumental groups (except brass band conductors).

Creative Tax Reliefs (online event)

Is your music group missing out on Creative Tax Reliefs? Instrumental, musical theatre and opera groups could qualify – and you don’t have to be paying tax to claim it.

Creative Tax Reliefs (CTR) are offered by HMRC as a way to incentivize the creative industries. A common misconception is that you have to be paying tax to claim tax relief. But that is not true. Charities that have not previously paid any tax can still claim tax reliefs, and receive a payment from HMRC. All the groups we help claim CTR are charities

Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Member meet-up (online event)
