Lady Hilary Groves Prize

This prestigious prize, a certificate signed by Making Music's patron HRH the Duchess of Kent, is presented annually to individuals from a Making Music member group who have made an outstanding contribution to music in their community.

The prize is named after Lady Hilary Groves, a Vice President of Making Music and an ardent supporter of leisure-time music making in the UK. 

Awards

Making Music presents awards and prizes to individual musicians, groups and organisations in both the leisure-time and professional sector.

Some of these, such as the Groves Prizes, recognise lifelong contributions to the musical life of the UK. The music awards celebrate the music creators, arrangers and innovative new music projects that leisure-time music groups are involved with.
