Manchester Inspirational Voices, members of Making Music, have won the BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year 2016 competition.
The choir, founded ten years ago by Wayne Ellington, competed against amateur choirs Sing Gospel, Lifted Voices Choir and Sheffield Community Choir, and university student choirs Harmony Gospel Choir and De Montfort University Gospel Choir. See the video below for a bit from the explosive and passionate performance by Manchester Inspirational Voices.
The BBC competition was judged by vocal coach Carrie Grant, gospel singer-songwriter Muyiwa Olarewaju and Oliver Award winning actress Sharon D. Clarke.
Manchester Inspirational Voices will have a Christmas Concert on Friday 16 December, from 7:00pm, at Trafford Christian Life Centre in Manchester.
