The Festival of Contemporary Music for All is a celebration of CoMA’s Open Score project, which creates artistically challenging yet technically accessible and flexibly scored music for amateur ensembles. With over 600 works, there is plenty of music to go around!
Whether a musician, music lover, promoter or supporter; the Festival of Contemporary Music for All is open to everyone. The idea is inspiration – alongside leading composers, performers, ensembles and thinkers, you are invited to participate in workshops and ideas forums.
In each of the six locations across the UK, you can also contribute to the events by performing an Open Score piece, Dark Sun by Stephen Montague, in a concert side by side with musicians from well-known professional contemporary music ensembles.
Find out more from the CoMA website (http://www.coma.org/festival) and do let us know if you and/or your group will be taking part. Making Music will be represented at each event, too.
