Musical Director

Brockham Choral Society is seeking a Musical Director to start from September 2025.  We are a non-auditioning choir based in Dorking, Surrey, and present 3 concerts a year, mostly in St Martin’s Church, Dorking.  These concerts are well supported by the local community.  We are used to performing a wide range of music, from baroque to 21st century, often with an orchestra, though from time to time we present a café-style informal concert with a lighter repertoire.  The choir has 65 members and rehearses on Tuesday evenings from September to June.  We see the main job of the MD as continuing to develop the musical abilities and potential of the choir, to ensure that our music making is a joyful experience, and to lead us to new works while continuing to perform some of the established classical works.  There is more about us on our website at www.brockhamchoral.org.
