Musical Director & Accompanist

Our ideal candidate should be able to:-

• work as a team with the committee to recommend the choice of music to the committee together with costings, to promote 2 concerts per year, one in spring (early May) and the other in early December.
• lead the weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings during the season, between 7.30pm and 9pm at our rehearsal venue in Rookwood School, Weyhill Road, Andover.
• obtain the services of an accompanist for rehearsals.
• attend committee meetings, usually 2 per term.
• seek the services of any soloists and orchestra as required for the concerts and agree appropriate fees, in agreement with the Society’s Treasurer, to be paid to them.
• obtain the services of a locum In the case of unavoidable absence from rehearsal and agree the fee to be paid.

For this, the MD will be paid a fee for each rehearsal and performance.

Interviews will be held with a small panel from ACS committee, with employment starting on 8 January 2025.
