John Forsyth MBE, Music Director of Cleveland Philharmonic Choir, has announced his intention to retire in April 2025, and the choir is searching for a new MD to start work in September 2025.
Cleveland Philharmonic Choir is a mixed voice auditioned choir of about 100 members, based in Stockton on Tees. CPC has a good regional reputation, and gives performances in local venues around Teesside, and has also given performances at Sage Gateshead (now The Glasshouse International Centre for Music) with soloists such as Mark Padmore and Roderick Williams, and at Durham Cathedral. We give four concerts each year, either with piano or orchestra. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm, during school term times, with a professional accompanist.
