                           Côr Meibion Caerwys Male Voice Choir

                        VACANT POSITION FOR MUSICAL DIRECTOR

We are a small male voice choir based in the town of Caerwys, Flintshire, North Wales.

Our current repertoire is quite mixed with some traditional Welsh hymns and songs,

 in addition to some contemporary pieces. Our existing accompanist is a local lady of great

 esteem and experience and who is fully au fait with our current and past repertoire.

The position has become vacant due to the sad untimely passing of our previous MD, who in his tenure

raised the profile and choral ability of the choir to a high standard. We aim to continue this excellent

progress with a view to achieving competition standard.

We have a well- balanced choir of some 20 members. We hold weekly rehearsals at St. Michaels’s Church,

Caerwys, on Monday evenings. There is a possibility of changing this to Wednesday if necessary.

Remuneration will be on a fee per rehearsal/performance basis plus reasonable travel expenses

and as such will therefore be a self -employed position.
