Musical Director

The role involves:

• planning repertoire for the choir
• leading a regular Tuesday evening two hour rehearsal (with a 15 minute social break) during school term times
• holding additional rehearsals in the concert venue on performance days
• supporting our two main concerts, which are normally held in April and November which feature either major choral works or a selection of items linked by theme or composer, as well as a traditional Carol Concert in December and a concert in the summer term when we like to try something a little different
• attending committee meetings as required

Remuneration:

The role will attract an hourly rate of £50. The successful candidate will be engaged on a freelance basis and as such will be responsible for all income tax liabilities and National Insurance contributions.

The successful candidate will have a probationary period of one year with the hope to extend this further.
