Musical Director

Wellingborough Singers was started in 1980, and since then have sung a wide variety of the standard choral repertoire, as well as some lesser known and contemporary works.  It is a SATB choir of about 60 members, who usually perform two concerts a year, in May and December.

Application is by a CV with a covering letter, and the phone numbers of two people willing to give a verbal reference, to be emailed to Lidia Douglas, Chairman   lidiadouglas1@gmail.com by 8pm on 4th January.  The committee will invite two shortlisted candidates to take an audition rehearsal with the Singers on 12th or 19th January, using selected choruses from the Messiah.  The successful candidate will be appointed by 23rd January with rehearsals starting on Thursday evenings from 26th January during term time.  We meet in the Lower School Hall of Wellingborough School, and one of the school music staff is our resident accompanist.
