Sound Escapes is a specialist tour operator based in Nottingham arranging tailor-made concert and performance tours for adult music ensembles who wish to perform in unique locations across the UK, Ireland and beyond.
Meet the founder, Jo Porter
Hello and thank you for reading! I launched Sound Escapes UK in January 2019, after working for a leading concert tour operator for 17 years, with the aim of creating entirely bespoke concert tours solely for adult music ensembles to destinations across the UK and Ireland. There is so much on offer in the UK and Ireland for choirs, from cathedrals and abbeys, to churches and stately homes, all steeped in centuries of history and a strong musical heritage.
Offering a personal and friendly service is paramount at Sound Escapes, and we place a great deal of emphasis on personal contact with you and will support you every step of the way! We also work closely with other choirs, bands and orchestras across the country who would love to collaborate with you musically, and our Midlands location allows us to facilitate this additional service.
In recent years we have organised successful tours to East Anglia, the Lake District, Isle of Wight, Stirlingshire, Oxford, Somerset for both adult bands and choirs, and for 2023 we have operated our first very successful choir trip to Paris so will be venturing to destinations further afield in the very near future.
