Give a Gig is Youth Music’s flagship fundraising initiative, taking place from 16-25 March 2018.
On Saturday 24 March 2018, Youth Music has slots for vocal groups to perform at 10 major railway stations across England: London Waterloo, London Kings Cross, London Paddington, London Bridge, London Victoria, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Leeds, Birmingham New Street, and Bristol Temple Meads.
They are now calling on choirs (of up to 25 members) who would like to be part of this national celebration of music by performing a set at one of the stations, entertaining passers-by and raising money to support Youth Music. Several different choirs will perform sets throughout the day between 10am-6pm.
Why take part?
- Attract new members/audiences: we know that potential members (especially younger people) are often attracted by the prospect of public performances, particularly ones based around a project or campaign. Plus, what better way to reach new audiences than by performing right in the middle of the daily route of thousands of members of the public!
- Raise money for a great cause: Youth Music runs projects for 75,000 young people across England each year, giving people who might otherwise not have access a chance to experience the joys of music making.
How to get involved
To register your interest in taking part, please fill out this short form by 5pm on Friday 6 October.
