This year's Trustees’ Week, from 7 to 13 November, includes a series of events, resources and information on the theme of good leadership and effective chairing of charity trustee boards
The celebration will focus on good governance and the skills needed to make trustees effective leaders.
Trustees and committee members from groups can take advantage of free training, resources and events taking place during the week, including:
- charity conferences on Monday 7 November organised by NCVO/ BWB and Third Sector Governance Forum
- a Charity Commission webinar on good governance for trustees on Tuesday 8
- a growing list of free training courses and resource-sharing opportunities from umbrella bodies and professional organisations. Have a look at the list on the Trustees' Week website.
The celebration of the UK's 1 million trustees is organised by a coalition of charities, regulators and professional bodies, and it promotes the benefits of volunteering to be a trustee.
Trustees will also be tweeting about their experiences on @TrusteesWeek.
