MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Royal Leamington Spa Bach Choir is looking to appoint a Musical Director to succeed Lee Dunleavy from September 2024.

We are an auditioned and growing choir of ninety members who enjoy bringing new music to audiences as well as continuing to perform classics from the choral repertoire. Our current season includes four concerts and a Come and Sing workshop, presented in a variety of venues in Leamington and Warwick, all with instrumental accompaniment and professional soloists.

Rehearsals are weekly on Wednesdays in term-time, and we have a very experienced professional accompanist. We have an active committee which works closely with the Musical Director.

The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced professional or semi-professional musician who enjoys leading amateurs and professionals in high-quality music-making; a confident communicator who relishes the opportunity to be an advocate for music-making in Warwickshire.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 10th January 2024. Interviews for long-listed candidates will take place on Saturday 10th February 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to lead a 30-minute choir rehearsal on Wednesday 28th February 2024.
