Musical Director

Application deadline:
Tuesday, 14 February 2017
Description of vacancy:

Radcliffe on Trent Male Voice Choir, formed in 1983, has just returned from taking part in the 25th London Welsh Festival of Male Choirs at the Royal Albert Hall in London. We have around 35 members drawn from Nottinghamshire and our accompanist is the internationally renowned Eleonora Babitskaya, who has been with the choir for more than 17 years. We rehearse once a week on Thursday evenings in the Methodist Church in Radcliffe on Trent and for this appointment there will need to be a commitment to lead about 45 rehearsals, to deliver some 12 public concerts (mostly at weekends) and to lead at least one tour with the Choir in any one year. We perform pieces from our extensive repertoire without music copy.

The Choir is a Registered Charity and is managed by an experienced, competent and active Committee.

We are seeking a person with the talent and skill to develop further our standard of singing and our choral performances. We have temporary cover until the end of February and ideally the successful applicant should be in post as soon as possible.

For further information contact the Choir’s Acting Chairman, John Parry, phone 0115 933 4060.

Application is by submission of completed CV to John Parry at johnparry081@btinternet.com

Closing date 14th February 2017.

Selection will take place in February
