Musical Director

Pitchcraft is a 50-60 strong, auditioned a cappella choir rehearsing on Tuesday evenings in Edinburgh.  We sing original arrangements of a wide variety of music including our trademark mashups and medleys, aiming to offer high quality and high entertainment value as well as something a little different. 

We learn from scores but also welcome non music readers and provide audio tracks to support learning.  We are quality driven and performance focused and all performances are off score.  Pre pandemic we would typically stage one or two of our own public performances a year as well as the occasional corporate gig and private event.  There are a number of events currently in our diary for later in 2021and 2022.  We have a strong social media presence and a commitment to grow our following by producing high quality videos of our songs.

Due to serious illness, our founding MD is no longer able to lead the choir and we are currently looking to replace our interim MD who needs to move on due to other work commitments.  We are looking for someone with experience in and a passion for a cappella, and the energy and vision to take Pitchcraft forward and help us be the very best choir we can be, with the support of our committed section leads and newly formed board.  We have an extensive repertoire of arrangements but our ideal candidate would also be keen to arrange for us. 

Main rehearsals are on a Tuesday evening in Edinburgh.  We are preparing to move from online to outdoor in-person rehearsals and foresee rehearsing outdoors until around the end of August when we hope to go back to using our usual rehearsal venue.  We are looking for someone to start ASAP.
