After 20 years of raising the standards and widening the repertoire our Music Director is retiring. The Consort consists of approximately 25 auditioned SATB singers that perform at charity fund raising concerts throughout the year.
The eclectic repertoire ranges from early church music through to spirituals, folksongs and modern works both sacred and secular.
The Consort rehearse in Hawkhurst from 7.45 to 9.30 during term time.
The Consort seek someone who;
- Is a charismatic, trained musician with a passion for choral singing, to lead and inspire with joy and confidence.
- Has good organisational skills, including planning rehearsals and concerts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including collaborating with the committee.
- Is willing to participate in the social aspects of the choir.
The choir pays an hourly rate that will be set in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience. Short listed candidates will be invited to an interview and to lead a short choir rehearsal.
