Associate Musical Director

Role Profile
• Accomplished vocal coach with good understanding of relevant technique
• Experienced and skilled choral conductor, adept in a broad range of
musical styles
• Proficient and accomplished pianist with the ability to direct mixed ability,
complex vocal groups from the keyboard
• Confident, experienced and skilled rehearsal director covering a broad
range of musical style and ability

Main Duties
• To lead sectional rehearsals, subsidiary performance group/ensemble
rehearsals as required
• To lead full rehearsals with an accompanist and to accompany full and
small group rehearsals
• To help ensure good vocal practice and development through practical
application to repertoire
• To direct full/partial performances of various groups as required, including potential bespoke/seasonal opportunities
• To lead on the delivery of our education and outreach programme and
development of a Youth Chorus
• To support the Artistic Director and work collaboratively with the music and creative team as required
