Music Director of Godalming Community Gospel Choir

WE ARE SEEKING A NEW MUSIC DIRECTOR FOR GCGC, A GOSPEL CHOIR BASED IN SOUTH WEST SURREY, AS HERMIONE THOMAS WHO HAS BEEN WITH THE CHOIR SINCE ITS FORMATION HAS RECENTLY STEPPED DOWN.

We are an inclusive gospel choir who welcomes members, regardless of musical experience, faith and background and aspires to excellence. 

As an established choir of 12 years, we are seeking someone inspirational, encouraging and experienced, who is passionate about gospel music, to take the choir to the next level.  GCGC is an award-winning choir who greatly enjoys performing at two concerts which we work towards each year, in addition to town events, residential homes, fetes and weddings.  The choir reached the finals of the BBC Gospel Choir of the Year in 2015.

Rehearsals: We rehearse weekly during school term time on Monday evenings at St Peter & St Paul's Church from 7.30 - 9.30 pm with live piano or keyboard accompaniment.

Salary: £50 - 70 per hour depending on experience.  Travel costs negotiable.
