Music Director

Divertimento, one of Leamington Spa’s foremost chamber choirs, is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director to commence in November 2021.  The choir, of around 25 singers, enjoys an outstanding reputation for the quality of its performance and sound, performing sacred and secular music from the Renaissance to the present day, including lighter music from around the world and settings of modern popular songs. As well as giving concerts for charity, we also host workshops and events to support cultural, educational and community interests. 
 
The successful candidate will be a talented and experienced Director with excellent vocal coaching skills and a wide knowledge of varied genres of chamber choral repertoire. The Director will work with the choir to produce performances of the highest standard through choosing varied concert programmes of challenging music that will be both inspiring to sing and entertaining for our audiences.
 
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings and the choir performs around 3 or 4 concerts each year in Leamington Spa and the surrounding area.
