Conductor

The City Showtunes Orchestra is an amateur, mixed-ability orchestra based in the City of London. Rehearsing on Monday evenings in St Mary Aldermary Church each term, we draw our light-hearted repertoire from musicals, films and popular classics. We give two concerts a year, usually at Christmas time and in late Spring, where we raise money for charities close to orchestra members' hearts.

We are looking for a conductor for our Spring 2024 term (late January - May 2024). Formal experience is beneficial but not necessarily required; confidence, patience, the ability to motivate others, an in-depth knowledge of orchestration and a can-do attitude would make you a great fit for our orchestra. The conductor might commit to one term only or might stay with the orchestra in a longer-term arrangement.
