MUSICAL DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY

Charnwood Voices is based near LOUGHBOROUGH in the EAST MIDLANDS.

We are an established and well-respected SATB choir of 26 singers, currently growing its membership.

We rehearse and perform largely a cappella music across a wide range of music genres.

New members are welcomed after attending 3 rehearsals and achieving a successful voice assessment.

Following a very rewarding 8 years under the leadership of Dr Nicholas Scott-Burt we now seek a new MD to continue this journey.

We are looking for a stimulating and skilled choral director who will further develop the choir's technique and repertoire at our Wednesday evening rehearsals.

The successful candidate will, ideally, have good keyboard skills as we do not currently employ a rehearsal accompanist.

We hope to find someone who can help us plan interesting concerts to attract audiences across the borough of Charnwood and wider afield.

The MD position is self-employed, we would like it to begin in January 2024 and fees are negotiable dependent on experience.
