The A Cappella Singers is looking for a new Director of Music!
Start date: Sept 5th 2018.
We are the A Cappella Singers, an accomplished amateur choir of 23 years, rehearsing and performing in the RibbleValley, Lancashire. We are currently under the direction of Rory Johnston who is standing down at the end of the summer season. We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Director to continue with, and improve, the choir’s repertoire and high standard of vocal production and performance. A new Director would ideally be interested in overseeing new performance opportunities, the choir’s 25th anniversary, and be looking for at least a two-year position or long-term.
The choir does not just sing a cappella, and performs a wide variety of music, both sacred and secular, achieving the larger liturgical and light classical works. We usually perform three concerts a year in venues around the area, and have done several short performances for Radio Lancashire in Blackburn. We rehearse in Wilpshire near Blackburn on Wednesday evenings during term-time.
