Conductor / Music Director

The Burford Singers are seeking a new Music Director with effect from January 2024 to take over from Brian Kay, who will be retiring from the choir after 21 years.

Based in west Oxfordshire, we are a choir of 80 -  90 members with a long-established reputation for staging three high quality concerts a year, usually in Burford church.  Our concerts are accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists.  Rehearsals are held in Burford, between 7.30 – 9.30 pm on Thursday evenings and a very experienced accompanist is in place.

We are looking to recruit an inspiring, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Music Director with experience in choir training as well as conducting a professional orchestra.  Ideally the appointment would commence at the beginning of the Spring term in January 2024.
