Musical Director

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading fortnightly rehearsals on Sunday afternoons at our venue in Birmingham and our regular three concerts a year, beginning in January 2023.    

Individuals are asked to email a CV and a short informal video. The video should be no longer than five minutes and should tell us about yourself and your approach to the position of Musical Director. Applications should be sent to the Orchestra Manager at manager@bgso.org.uk (videos can be uploaded onto a video-sharing platform and links included in the email, or sent via WhatsApp if requested).

The closing date for initial applications is Thursday 10th November 2022.

After review, long-listed applicants will be asked to attend an interview conducted online between 16-20 November at a time that is mutually convenient. Those reaching the short-list will be invited to rehearse the orchestra for approximately 30-45 minutes on 27 November 2022.
