Making Music runs projects for members – get involved and try something new! The projects help groups develop through audience or artistic development or by offering new music-making experiences. Find out about pairing up with a music creator for a year and more.

Our landmark project, Adopt a Music Creator matches leisure-time choirs, bands, orchestras and ensembles with a music creator to create a new piece of music for premiere and professional recording.
The competition is open to instrumental and vocal member groups, who can either submit a recent audio recording of a Christmas carol or one from a previous year. 
Our INCLUDE programme was born out of the vision that everyone should have the opportunity to be part of a music group in their community, and we learned how leisure-time music groups could include a wider diversity of people in their activities.
Making Music's virtual concert series showcased the variety of Making Music members and their performances, during a period when in-person activities were restricted.
Up in Lights was a YouTube showcase, dedicated to celebrating the diverse talent of our music groups across the four UK nations.
A collection of Christmas songs written specifically for both adult and children’s voices, produced by the Carnegie UK Trust, Making Music and Music Sales.
