ChoirCommunity is offering Making Music members a 15% discount of sheet music and learning tracks.
What is ChoirCommunity?
ChoirCommunity is a digital marketplace for choirs, providing high quality choral arrangements and compositions of many types of music, created by choir leaders and composers from around the UK and the rest of the world.
Launched in January 2018, the service aims to provide choirs of all standards with accessible and affordable music which has been written and arranged carefully and thoughtfully, making the most of each voice part. ChoirCommunity also ensures that all copyrighted material is properly cleared through the relevant rights-owner or publisher and all royalties are paid from any sales.
Since its initial launch with a few dozen arrangements, the website has grown to a collection with over 1200 available titles and has a membership of nearly 7,500 choirs from around the world, with over 4,300 based in the UK.
All arrangements can be purchased and downloaded as sheet music (PDF files) or audio learning tracks (mp3 files). Backing tracks are available for many titles as well.
Two of the biggest challenges leisure-time choirs face is the cost of sheet music and getting permission to arrange music to suit their choir. The ChoirCommunity website offers:
- sheet music and learning track arrangements at affordable prices – with all the relevant permissions and licences from the publisher in place
- music across a range of genres, from traditional and world music to jazz, rock, pop and classical, by well-known and respected arrangers
- music for all levels of choir, from non-auditioned community choirs to chamber choirs and choral societies looking for something more challenging and original
