Music Director/Conductor

Pitlochry Choral (Pitlochry & District Choral Society) is an amateur choir of 50+ members based in Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire, now seeking a new Music Director to start in September 2018, to replace the current MD who is relocating. 

As a Registered Charity (SC0 40555) we aim to bring music appreciation and enjoyment to our members and to the Community. We aim to reach out to include the old, young and disadvantaged, and we also support other hard-pressed charitable causes.

We rehearse weekly, September-April to give two main concerts each December & April, as well as other events. Our recent repertoire ranges from the big classical choral works (old & new) to madrigals, and favourite arias & choruses from operas & musicals.

We seek candidates who have:  Experience & empathy with traditional & mainstream choral music; Experience in directing & conducting adult choirs, musicians & soloists; Experience in composing & arranging music; piano/keyboard skills would be a bonus.
