Creative Tax Reliefs
Let us help you claim on your production costs!
Creative Tax Reliefs allow eligible music groups to claim on their annual production costs and receive a payment from HMRC. You do not currently need to be paying tax or be registered with HMRC to make a claim. Making Music’s Creative Tax Relief service will help you through the process and submit a tax claim for you.
So far, with this service, Making Music member groups have claimed back over £1,000,000!
What's included in the service
Making Music members get access to step-by-step guidance on checking the eligibility on each performance, templates for filling in your accounts, and dedicated support on preparing the claim.
Once you are ready, we will do a full review of your accounts to make sure you have everything you need, and then we will file the claim on your behalf. We can then submit a claim for you each year so you can count on this added annual income boost to support your group.
These extra funds directly impact on the decisions we are able to make regarding repertoire for the orchestra and means we can budget for larger scale/in copyright works. More exciting and varied concerts for our audience and more interesting works for the orchestra ensuring all our regulars (including the non "classical" instruments such as tuba) are kept happy.
