Advocacy networks
Find out more about how we work with other organisations to represent the sector.
Making Music’s voice is strong, representing around 4,000 leisure-time music groups, but we know from experience that we are most successful when we collaborate to amplify our members’ voice and work with others in our sector towards shared goals.
So we are part of many networks and talk to lots of organisations with similar aims and goals. For example, Making Music hosts the Singing Network UK, a free network for any umbrella organisations working with singers and vocal groups, and the Community Spaces Forum, a network bringing together owners and managers of the kinds of spaces leisure-time music groups use for their activities.
Making Music team members are also trustees of the National Music Council, the Music Libraries Trust, Make Music Day UK and the Jazz Promoters Network.
