Climate Change Network (online event)
About the event:
Solving the planet’s problems needs everyone’s input – and music groups can do more than they think!
Join us as we discuss some of the latest success stories from our member group’s who have implemented more sustainable practices into the ways they work.
We will be hearing from committee members of this year’s Green Award winners, The Phoenix Voices, who will share with us how they decided to become an eco-friendly choir in 2019 in response to the climate and ecological emergency, and what they have done to continue their environmental commitment ever since, including minimising waste at socials, events and rehearsals, car-sharing and taking part in community awareness raising events (eco fairs) and much more!
And as always, this is also an opportunity to share ideas and resources with your peers and to let Making Music know what else we can do to support you in this area.
Further guest speakers to be announced.
We'll talk about:
- The Making Music Green Award
- Tips and resources we want to share with each other
- Further support from Making Music
- Anything else that comes up on the topic!
There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the event.
Who this event is for: Anyone is welcome to attend this event who is interested in finding out what they and their music group can do on the issue of climate change.
Cost: FREE for members
