William Byrd Singers

J.S.Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium parts 1,2, 5 and 6 sung in the original German. The William Byrd Singers will be joined on stage by the 18th Century Sinfonia, period instrument orchestra, and professional soloists: Taylor London, Tim Morgan, Ruairi Bowen and Andrew Slater.

Bach's longest and most sophisticated work consists of a cycle of six cantatas written for the Christmas period in 1734. Music from earlier compositions is incorporated to total three hours' worth of which we have selected four parts. This will be your opportunity to hear an authentic and accomplished performance of an iconic work.
