Spires Music Ltd

Spires Music, comprises Spires Philharmonic Chorus(SPC) and Spires Philharmonic Orchestra(SPO). We perform 2 or 3 concerts per annum mostly including a major mass or requiem along with modern compositions. Recently, we have in particular been trying to give a voice to forgotten Women Composers. All of our concerts are accompanied by the SPO which is an orchestra comprising a mix of amateurs and professionals.. The Chorus mainly rehearses on Wednesdays, over 8-10 weeks before each concert, and the Orchestra on Thursdays for up to 6 weeks prior to each concert. Immediately before each concert , there are joint rehearsals.
In addition, we hold an annual orchestra Play Day, this year Swan Lake, and a Play and Sing Day. In June 2024, we will be travelling to Dresden, to perform with the Dresden Neur Chor.
