Corporate member blog: Laurie Denman
New corporate member Laurie Denman introduces his range of music services to help you raise your voices and musicians to the next level.
Laurie has always had a passion for singing, joining his local church choir as soon as he could warble out a note. His love of singing and music expanded as he performed in local musicals and dance shows throughout his childhood, eventually taking him to a musical theatre degree at the Guildford School of Acting.
Ever since graduating, Laurie has had the pleasure of teaching music of various forms to a whole host of groups from amateur choirs to children’s performing arts classes to leading professional musicals as musical director. Throughout all of these however, Laurie found that a lack of resources for the individual limited confidence and potential.
Laurie’s bespoke resources allow individual members to fine-tune their vocal or instrument parts at home with detailed guide tracks, and his fully orchestrated backing tracks can also enhance a music groups public performance.
Laurie has recently worked with the Chester Male Voice Choir (a stalwart member of Making Music) to assist in their rehearsal:
'We were blown away by the quality of the TTBB and composite tracks that Laurie produced. We’ve since had a second song produced with equal satisfaction. What made a big difference to their usefulness was his voice singing the words to the 4 parts rather than digitally created notes. We will definitely use Laurie’s services again and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.' - John Walsh, Chester Male Voice Choir
You can find out more information about the types of services Laurie can offer you and have a listen to a sample of the guide tracks of Sure On This Shining Night created for the Chester Male Voice Choir on his website.
