'Regional treasure' Bradley Creswick MBE ran away from his circus family to become a professional musician working his way from the Royal College of Music to lead the Royal Northern Sinfonia from which he recently retired. Bradley now continues his career as a soloist, chamber music performer and orchestral player with a wide range of professional ensembles, continuing to explore different musical genres. He regularly performs with pianist Margaret Fingerhut in violin and piano recitals.
Margaret Fingerhut MBE performs as a soloist or in chamber music all over the world as well as maintaining her thriving teaching practice. She is currently Visiting Lecturer at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Read more about Margaret's musical career below.
For our concert, Bradley and Margaret will entertain us with Beethoven's glorious Spring Sonata (fittingly in March!) followed by a set of four pieces by Czech composer and violinist Josef Suk. Korngold's suite from 'Much Ado About Nothing;' for violin and piano with the concert concluding with Ravel's jazz influenced Sonata No 2.
