Orchestra Leader

We are looking for a violinist with good orchestral experience and a genuine enthusiasm to work with, support and inspire amateur musicians to achieve the best results possible.

This role may well suit someone with an orchestral background but wishing to do more work closer to home, and/or with a teaching practice in the area.

There is work to do to build string numbers, especially amongst violins and violas, and we'd hope a new leader would be willing to support this, while aiming for quality rather than merely quantity.

We rehearse at a local school every Tuesday (19:45-22:00) during term-time. We hold one concert at the end of each term, as well as an extra fund-raising concert in October.
