St Peter's Singers (Cambs)

St Peter's Singers is a mixed chamber choir of about 30 voices based in Peterborough. The choir was formed in the early 1970s by a group of Lay Clerks from the Cathedral Choir, who wished to sing music other than the day-to-day cathedral repertoire. Membership is now open to all, and we welcome new singers.

The choir presents concerts of sacred and secular works, both accompanied and unaccompanied. The choir also sings a number of services (Choral Evensong and Eucharist), including singing at Peterborough Cathedral at least once a year.

Our wide-ranging repertoire spans eight centuries, from the 15th century to the present day, and often has a particular emphasis on British composers. The choir’s secular repertoire is often featured in the summer concerts including madrigals, part-songs and arrangements of modern music.
