Front Room

Front Room was formed in 2008 and is based in North west Kent. Since its formation, the choir has gone from strength to strength. We currently have 21 members and enjoy performing around Kent, raising money for local charities and churches. We have also established two smaller groups from within the choir, Front Room Ladies, (performing close harmony numbers) and the Back Room Boys (performing barbershop). Our repertoire ranges from arrangement of jazz classics through to pop songs from the sixties, seventies and beyond. We enjoy learning challenging repertoire and aim to perform from memory whenever we can. A few years back we were finalists in the Top Choir Kent competition and have also won first place in both mixed and ladies' voices classes at the Gravesham Music Festival. We have performed regularly at the Hastings Beatles Day and more recently sung at the Dickensian Christmas festival in Rochester. In addition to putting on full-length concerts, the choir have provided cabaret performances at a number of formal dinners and private parties.
